Overview
The YONGLIDA AFA-II Automatic Film Applicator is a device for automatically preparing wet-film of a specific thickness. It is equipped with a Film Applicator or bar (optional) to automatically complete the Spreader movement, with vacuum suction cup function, the Spreader size is 300 x 200mm, and the Spreader speed can be adjusted.
Features
1. Equipped with a vacuum suction cup, the fixed substrate is more stable.
2. Spreader speed can be adjusted, range 0~ 80mm/s, adapt to different needs.
3. The effective coating area is 300 * 200mm, which meets the preparation of conventional samples.
4. Support bar and drawdown blade two coating methods (bar need to be purchased separately).
5. Spreader Travel is available in 230mm or 285mm, providing some flexibility.
Principle
The FAA-II Automatic Film Applicator is driven by a motor to move the film Applicator or bar mounted on it at a uniform speed along a straight track, thereby scraping the surface of the substrate placed on the vacuum chuck to form a wet-film of uniform thickness. The vacuum chuck is used to fix the substrate during the Spreader process to prevent movement.

Steps
1. Place the substrate to be Spreader flat on the vacuum chuck of the equipment and start the chuck to fix.
2. According to the desired wet film thickness, select the appropriate Film Applicator or bar and install it on the equipment.
3. Apply an appropriate amount of coating to be tested at one end of the substrate or in front of the coating applicator.
4. Set the required Spreader speed on the device.
5. Start the equipment and the coating applicator will automatically complete the scraping movement.
6. After the Spreader is completed, remove the substrate with wet-film for subsequent processing or testing.
Notice
• Bar or Film Applicators are Optional accessories and must be purchased separately according to experimental requirements.
• Before operation, make sure that the substrate has been firmly fixed by the vacuum suction cup.
• Please select the appropriate Spreader tool and speed according to the paint characteristics and required film thickness.
• The power supply of the device is 220V 50Hz, please ensure that the power supply matches.
• Please clean the Spreader tool in time after use to avoid coating curing affecting subsequent use.
