Overview
MCX-03 Coefficient of Friction Tester is a professional measuring instrument of HORIZON brand, suitable for Plastic film and sheet, rubber, paper, Cardboard, woven bag, fabric style, communication cable and cable metal composite belt, conveyor belt, wood, coatings, brake pads, wipers, shoe materials, tires and other materials of Static COF and Kinetic COF. By measuring the slipperiness of materials, the production process indicators can be controlled and adjusted to meet the requirements of product use, and can be used for cosmetics, eye drops and other daily chemical products slippery performance measurement.

Principle
The instrument drives the slider to move on the surface of the sample through the high-precision ball screw drive, and uses the force measurement system to detect the change of the force value during the sliding process of the slider, and automatically calculates and displays the Static COF and Kinetic COF to evaluate the slippery performance of the material.

Steps
1. Prepare the sample and place it on the work surface
2. Set the slider mass (standard 200 +/- 2g or optional 500g)
3. Start the instrument and move the slider at a speed of 100 +/- 10mm/min
4. Automatic Measurement and Display of Dynamic and Static COF
5. Use a microprinter to print test results and averages
