Overview
The Dutch TQC VF1000 hardness testing pencil is a hardness testing pencil specially designed for use with Pencil hardness testers. It contains 20 pencils with different Hardness values, including 8B, 7B, 6B, 5B, 4B, 3B, 2B, B, HB, F, H, 2H, 3H, 4H, 5H, 6H, 7H, 8H, 9H, 10H.
Features
1. Scratch resistance measurement of Coating Surface Hardness according to Wolff Wilborn Standard
2. Can be used for experimental analysis or to control product quality
3. Suitable for paints Coatings, Furniture, Automobile, PC board paint, single layer or multi-layer paint
4. Testing is fast and easy
5. Standard 20 pencils with different Hardness values
Principle
In pencil hardness testing, a set of pens with different grades of Hardness should be used to form a 45-degree angle with the surface of the object, and a constant force of 7.5N is used to scratch the surface of the object, and then Optical inspection evaluates whether it is damaged.
Applications
Paints Coatings, Furniture, Automobile, PC board paints, single or multi-layer paints
Standards
ISO 15184、ASTM D3363、JIS K-5600、ECCA-T4-1
Steps
1. Use the pencil hardness testing pencil with the Pencil hardness tester
2. Form a 45-degree angle to the surface of the item
3. Use a constant force of 7.5N to scratch the surface of the object
4. Optical inspection to assess whether it is damaged
Notice
• Pencil hardness tester is required
• Maintain a 45-degree angle during testing
• A constant force of 7.5N is required
