Overview
ZY-YG461 fabric breathability meter is a China instrument used to measure the breathability performance of a variety of Spinning & weaving fabrics, industrial fabrics, nonwovens and other Spinning & weaving products, as well as Miscellaneous breathable materials.
Features
1. Measurement range, covering 0.6~ 10000 mm/s (L/m2.s).
2. Measurement accuracy is high, the error is better than +/- 2%.
3. Provide a variety of test area options (5cm ², 20cm ², 25cm ², 38cm ², 50cm ², 100cm ²), with a standard 20cm ² test head.
4. Equipped with a series of orifice plates (φ 0.5mm to φ 26mm) to adapt to materials with different air permeability.
5. The fabric thickness range can be tested to less than or equal to 5mm.
Principle
The instrument generates a steady pressure differential on both sides of the specimen through the fan, forcing air through the specified area of the specimen. The breathability performance of the fabric is assessed by measurement of the air Flow rate or Flow velocity passing through the specimen per unit time at the specified pressure differential.

Steps
1. Select the appropriate test area and orifice according to the sample vapor transmission rate.
2. Clamp the specimen flat on the test head.
3. Set the required test pressure differential (50 to 500 Pa).
4. Start the instrument, the fan works, and a stable pressure differential is formed on both sides of the sample.
5. The instrument automatically measures and displays the air Flow rate or Flow velocity of the sample per unit time.
6. Record or output test results.
Notice
• The power supply of the instrument is AC220V +/- 5%, 50Hz, and it is necessary to ensure stable power supply.
• Before testing, the appropriate test area and orifice plate should be selected according to the standard or sample characteristics to obtain accurate readings.
The thickness of the fabric to be tested should not exceed 5mm.
• Ensure that the sample is held flat and wrinkle-free on the test head to avoid air leakage affecting the results.
• Regularly clean and maintain instruments to ensure Measurement accuracy.
• Non-standard test heads (such as 5cm ², 25cm ², 38cm ², 50cm ², 100cm ²) need to be selected separately.
