Overview
This instrument is a Smoothness Tester designed according to GB/T456-1989 Paper and Cardboard Smoothness Determination Method (Buick Method). It is used for the measurement of paper and Cardboard smoothness, but it is not suitable for measuring paper above 0.5mm or paper with large vapor transmission rate. The instrument adopts a High Accuracy Vacuum Sensor instead of a mercury pressure gauge. It is a mercury-free design and is equipped with a vacuum pump imported from Germany and a single-chip microcomputer control. It has data processing and printing functions.
Features
1. High Accuracy Vacuum Sensor, Mercury Free Design
2. Equipped with a vacuum pump imported from Germany to quickly reach the required Vacuum Level
3. MCU control, with data processing function, can automatically store single sample data and count the MAX Maximum, MIN Minimum, Average, Standard Deviation and Coefficient of Variation of the same group of samples
4. Data storage and screen display
5. With printing function, experimental reports can be printed according to GB/T456-1989 standard
Principle
The instrument uses the High Accuracy Vacuum Sensor to measure the Vacuum Level of the vacuum vessel, replacing the traditional mercury pressure gauge. The vacuum pump extracts the vacuum vessel, and the microcontroller controls the whole process, processes the measurement data, and calculates the smoothness value according to the change of Vacuum Level.
Applications
Paper and Cardboard smoothness measurement
Steps
Step 1 Prepare the sample
2. Select the measurement gear (380mL in a large vacuum container for gear I or 38mL in a small vacuum container for gear II)
3. Start the instrument and extract the vacuum from the vacuum pump
4. Instrument automatic measurement Vacuum Level change and calculation of smoothness value
5. Automatic data storage and display
6. Optional printing of experimental reports
Notice
- Not suitable for measuring papers above 0.5mm or with a large vapor transmission rate
- Ensure that the test pressure is 100 +/- 2KPa
- Effective test area is 10 +/- 0.05cm ²
- Check the vacuum container capacity before use (large container 380 +/- 1mL, small container 38 +/- 1mL)
- Follow GB/T456-1989 standard operation
