Overview
The stiffness meter is used to measure the bending stiffness of paper, Cardboard and other Non-metallic sheet materials with a thickness of less than 2mm (two-point static bending method). The force value of the Cardboard specimen is measured by clamping one end and bending the other end to a certain angle.
Features
1. Measurement range: 0~ 500mN/0~ 5000mN dual range optional
2. High Accuracy: resolution up to 0.01mN/1mN, indication Precision +/- 1%
3. Adjustable bending angle: 0~ 90 ° adjustable, commonly used 15 °
4. Standard fixture width: 38mm +/- 0.1mm
5. Test speed: 200 °/min +/- 10 °
6. Compact design: Dimension 330 * 340 * 290mm, Net weight 14Kg
Principle
Cardboard specimen is clamped and fixed at one end, and bending force is applied at the other end to bend it to a set angle. The bending stiffness of the material is determined by measuring the force value during bending.
Applications
Paper, Cardboard, Non-metallic sheet materials
Standards
GB/T22364、GB/T2679.3、QB/T1051、ISO5628
Steps
1. Connect the AC220V 50Hz power supply
2. Select the appropriate measurement range (0~ 500mN or 0~ 5000mN)
3. Hold the specimen with a thickness of less than 2mm on a 38mm wide fixture
4. Set the bending angle (usually 15 degrees)
5. Start the test and bend the specimen at a speed of 200 °/min
6. Read and record bending force value results
Notice
• Specimen thickness must be less than 2mm
• Power supply voltage AC220V 50Hz
• The bending angle setting should meet the test requirements
• In the case of bending 15 degrees, the bending time should be controlled within the range of 3 to 20 seconds
• Confirm instrument indication Precision before testing
• Pay attention to keep the fixture clean and ensure that the clamping is firm
