Overview
This machine is a roller Impact Tester manufactured according to the American SAMSONITE standard, model ZY-GT. It is mainly used to simulate the rolling impact of military cases, suitcases and other Encasement cases during transportation. The box rolls and collides in the cylinder, and checks its damage condition after the specified number of revolutions is completed, as the basis for quality control. The machine is used to simulate various Impact or collision stresses that Encasement parts may encounter during handling. The progress of damage and failure of Encasement parts can be observed.
Features
1. Manufactured according to the American Samsonite standard.
2. Used to simulate the rolling impact test during transportation.
3. Encasement damage and failure can be observed.
4. Rotation speed of the drum is 2r.p.m.
5. Wide range of setting times (1~ 999999), automatic shutdown.
6. Equipped with two sets of 90-degree baffles and a conical metal impactor.
Principle
The machine simulates the complex stress environment such as rolling and collision that Encasement parts may encounter during handling and transportation through a hexagonal roller. During the test, the Encasement parts are placed in the drum, and the drum swirls/spins at the set Rotation speed (2r.p.m), so that the Encasement parts are repeatedly rolled in the cylinder and collide with the baffle and the conical metal impactor. By completing the set number of revolutions, the damage of the Encasement parts after being subjected to continuous Impact is inspected.
Applications
Transport Encasement Testing of Military Cases, Suitcases and Other Encasement Cases
Standards
GB/T 4857.8-92 "Basic Test Method for Transport Encasement Parts - Test Method for Hexagonal Roller"
Steps
1. Put the test box or Encasement into the drum of the testing machine.
2. According to the test requirements, set the test revolutions (1 to 999999) on the control panel.
3. Start the machine and the drum starts swirling/spinning at a Rotation speed of 2r.p.m.
4. During the test, the Encasement rolled in the cylinder and collided with the baffle and the impactor.
5. After reaching the set number of revolutions, the machine automatically stops.
6. Remove Encasement, check for damage and record.
Notice
* Before testing, please confirm that the Encasement is firmly placed in the drum.
When setting test parameters, do not exceed the range specified by the equipment.
Do not open protective doors or perform Miscellaneous operations during machine operation.
Regularly check all components of the equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
Operators should be familiar with equipment operating procedures and safety regulations.
