Overview
ZBK-100 paper surface absorption weight tester is a special instrument designed and manufactured by CCYONGXIN according to the requirements of the industry standard QB/T1668-92 of the People's Republic of China. It is mainly used to measure the surface absorption of water or other liquids on sizing paper and Cardboard, including Corrugated Board. The surface absorption performance is evaluated by measuring the increased mass (g/m2) of one side of the paper after contact with the liquid.

Principle
The instrument is based on the Cobb (Coob) test principle. The mass of the liquid absorbed by the paper sample under the conditions of specified area, specified time, specified liquid amount, and specified pressure. Weigh the sample immediately before starting the test. After one side of the sample is in contact with water for a certain period of time, it is weighed by suction and drying. The result is expressed in terms of the mass of the sample increased, expressed in g/m2.
Applications
Determination of surface absorption performance of adhesive paper, Cardboard and Corrugated Board
Steps
1. Place the instrument at room temperature of 20 +/- 10 ° C to stabilize the horizontal table and level it
2. Turn the knob to loosen the lid and pour 100ml of distillation water with a temperature of 20 +/- 1 ° C into the cup
3. Place the weighed mass φ 125mm sample on the mouth of the cup, and the measured face faces the water direction
4. Put on the cup lid, turn the knob and press it tightly, turn the cup body 180 ° and start the stopwatch at the same time
5. Turn the handle before the predetermined time to restore the cup body to its original position
6. Remove the sample and place it on the absorbent paper, and press it back and forth within 4s with a pressing roller
7. After folding the sample, quickly weigh it and calculate the water absorption value
Notice
• Replace with new water for each measurement
• Before the test, ensure that the edge of the cup mouth and the surface of the end cover rubber pad are drying
• Each specimen can only be tested once and shall not be used for sexual repeability
• Weighing needs to be accurate to 0.001g.
• Instruments should be placed on a stable level table
• The roller operation needs to be carried out on a flat and hard table
