Overview
LEEB leeb252A Coating thickness gauge is an iron-aluminum dual-use Portable Coating thickness gauge that can automatically identify substrates and automatically convert with magnetic Induction and eddy Current. It can precisely measure the thickness of coatings and platings, and can be used in both laboratories and engineering sites. It is an important instrument for material protection.
Features
1. Two thickness measurement methods of magnetic and eddy current are used to measure the thickness of the nonmagnetic coating layer on the magnetic metal substrate and the thickness of the nonconductive coating layer on the nonmagnetic metal substrate.
2. Probes with low abrasion hard metal probes can be measured on hard or rough surfaces to ensure that the probe has constant pressing force and stable sampling values.
3. Measurement range, high resolution.
4. Automatic memory calibrated value, easy to use.
5. Can automatically identify magnetic and nonmagnetic substrates.
6. Integrated structure, small size and light weight.
7. Digital backlight display, regardless of differences, suitable for night use.
8. Using the optional RS232C software and cable, it can communicate with a PC computer for data acquisition, processing, analysis, and printing.
9. Equipped with automatic shutdown to achieve power saving function.
Principle
This instrument uses two measurement principles of magnetic Induction and eddy Current, and can automatically convert. For nonmagnetic coatings (such as paints, plastics, etc.) on magnetic metal substrates (such as steel, iron, etc.), the principle of magnetic Induction is used for measurement; for nonconductive coatings (such as enamel, rubber, etc.) on nonmagnetic metal substrates (such as copper, aluminum, etc.), the principle of eddy Current is used for measurement. The instrument can automatically identify the substrate type and select the corresponding Measurement mode.
Applications
Manufacturing, metal processing, chemical industry, commodity inspection and other testing fields
Standards
ISO2178、ISO2360、GB4956、GB4957
Steps
1. Zero correction: Press the measurement Probe on the reference block (or on the measurement body without coating), and then press the zero correction button "ZERO" to zero. When pressing the "ZERO" button, the Probe should not shake, and the Probe can only be lifted after pressing the button.
2. Calibrate fullness: Select the appropriate standard diaphragm according to the Coating thickness to be measured. First place the standard diaphragm on the reference block (or on the measurement substrate without coating). Then press the measurement Probe on the standard diaphragm, and the Measured value is displayed on the display. If the Measured value is different from the standard diaphragm, it can be corrected by adding 1 key or subtracting 1 key. To ensure accuracy, it can be verified by multiple measurements of the same standard diaphragm.
Notice
• When zeroing, the measurement Probe should not shake on the reference block, and the Probe can only be lifted after pressing the "ZERO" button, otherwise the zeroing is incorrect.
• When calibrating fullness, in order to ensure accuracy, it can be verified by multiple measurements of the same standard diaphragm.
