Overview
Tu-4 Viscometer is a model BND-4T of the QIWEI brand for the measurement of the conditional viscosity of liquids such as coatings. The Viscometer is made of brass, has a capacity of about 100 ml, its geometry and inner wall asperity comply with GB/T 1723 standard, and the bottom is a stainless steel outflow hole.
Features
1. Made of pure copper cup body, durable and meets standard requirements
2. The diameter of the outflow hole is 4mm, ensuring accurate measurement
3. Capacity is 100ml, suitable for routine sample testing
4. Correction factor K is within the range of 1 +/- 0.03 to ensure measurement accuracy
5. Outflow time range 0~ 150s, covering common viscosity measurement requirements
Principle
Viscometer Measurement condition Viscosity, that is, the time for a certain amount of sample to flow out of a hole of a specified pore size at a certain temperature, expressed in seconds. Converted by the formula of outflow time t (s) and kinematic viscosity μ (mm ²/s): when t < 23s, t = 0.154μ + 11; when 23s ≤ t ≤ 150s, t = 0.223μ + 6.0.
Steps
1. Prepare the sample and ensure that the temperature is constant
2. Pour the sample into the Viscometer to full capacity
3. Record the time (seconds) for the sample to completely flow out of the outflow hole.
4. Use the formula to convert the kinematic viscosity value according to the outflow time
5. If necessary, apply the correction factor K for correction
Notice
• Viscometer should be regularly calibrated, and the correction factor K should be within the range of 1 +/- 0.03, otherwise it needs to be replaced
• The difference between the measured value of the standard viscosity fluid outflow time and the calculated value should be within +/- 3% of the calculated value
• Check whether the outflow hole is clean before use to avoid blockage affecting the Measurement accuracy
• Ensure Stable Test Ambient Temperature to Reduce Errors
