Overview
PN-DQT Toilet Paper Linting Rate Tester is a special testing instrument developed by PNSHAR brand according to the national standard GB/T 20810-2018, suitable for products such as roll toilet paper, flat toilet paper, disc toilet paper, etc. The instrument is used to detect the ratio of short fibers escaping (ie "Dust") during the use of toilet paper. Linting rate is too high may cause adverse effects on human health, so the detection is of great significance. The instrument adopts crank and slider mechanism to achieve stable swing, software timing control, and the clamping device is simple and practical.

Principle
The instrument makes the short fibers on the surface of the paper peeling by simulating the swinging friction during the use of toilet paper. During the test, the initial mass of the sample is weighed first. After the specified time and Frequency swinging, the sample mass is weighed again. The Linting rate is calculated according to the formula "Linting rate (%) = (pre-test mass - post-test mass)/pre-test mass * 100". The swinging device of the instrument adopts a crank and slider mechanism to ensure stable swinging Frequency and accurate Travel, and the test time is controlled by software.

Steps
1. Prepare the sample and record the initial mass (pre-test mass).
2. Install the specimen on the pneumatic clamping device of the instrument.
3. Set the required test time through Touchscreen (standard is 120 seconds, can be set to 1-999 seconds).
4. Start the instrument, and the sample starts to swing according to the specified Frequency and Travel.
5. After the test, remove the sample and record its mass (post-test mass).
6. The instrument can automatically calculate or manually calculate the Linting rate according to the formula.
7. You can output the results through the printer or upload the data to the Cloud as a Service through WIFI.
Notice
* Power supply voltage of the instrument is AC220V 50Hz, and it is necessary to ensure voltage stability when using it.
The air source pressure must be ≥ 0.4MPa.
* The instrument should be used under the conditions of Ambient Temperature 10~ 30 ℃ and relative humidity < 85%.
* Please ensure that the sample is clean and drying when weighing to avoid external factors affecting the mass measurement.
* When cleaning the instrument, please use a clean towel to gently wipe the inside of the box to avoid the use of corrosion cleaners.

* According to the national standard GB/T 20810-2018, the toilet paper Linting rate is required to be less than or equal to 0.5%, and the test results can be compared with this standard.
