Overview
The PN-COF Coefficient of Friction tester is developed by the PNSHAR brand according to the relevant standards for the determination of Plastic film and sheet motion and Static COF. Coefficient of Friction is the ratio of friction to vertical force between two surfaces. Controlling the appropriate Coefficient of Friction is essential for the smooth progress of the Encasement process to avoid problems such as slipping, tensile deformation or poor opening.
Features
1. Adopt new module circuit design, with WIFI Internet of Things function, can save test results to Cloud as a Service, through PN-QMS series quality management system for data query, management, reporting, big Data analysis statistics and visual large screen display.
2. Preset parameters to achieve one-click testing.
3. Optimize test procedures to achieve rapid testing and improve test efficiency.
4. Linear dispersion and column chart display function, easy to check test results.
5. Units can be switched: N, kgf, lbf; Support multi-language Operating system switching.
6. Can be connected to special computer test software, real-time display of force value test Linear dispersion, and has massive test Data storage, query, management, analysis, statistics, reports and other functions.
Principle
The two test surfaces are laid flat together, and under a certain contact pressure, the two surfaces are moved against each other, and the required force is recorded to calculate the Static COF and Kinetic COF.
Applications
Plastic film, sheet
Standards
GB10006-88、ISO8295、TAPPI T816、ASTM D 1894-01
Steps
1. Place the two test surfaces flat together.
2. Apply a certain amount of contact pressure.
3. Move the two surfaces against each other.
4. Record the force required to move.
5. Calculate Static COF and Kinetic COF based on recorded force values.
