Fungilab CV003-008 Capillary Viscometer is a precision measuring instrument based on the Ubbelohde Viscometer principle, using the Ubbelohde ASTM size 2C specification, suitable for liquid testing in the viscosity range of 60 to 300cSt.

Principle
At a certain temperature, when the liquid flows in an upright capillary tubing in a state of complete wetting of the tube wall, its kinematic viscosity is proportional to the flow time. When measuring, use the liquid with known kinematic viscosity as the standard, measure the time it takes to flow out of the Capillary Viscometer, and then measure the time it takes for the sample to flow out of the same Viscometer, and calculate the viscosity of the sample.

Steps
1. Use a standard liquid of known kinematic viscosity to calibrate and measure its time from capillary tubing
2. Load the sample to be tested into the same Capillary Viscometer
3. measurement of time from capillary tubing
4. Calculate the viscosity of the sample according to the outflow time of the standard liquid and the sample

• Make sure the liquid completely wetting the capillary wall
Maintain a constant test temperature
• Standard liquid should be calibrated before use
