Overview
Fungilab CV003-010 is a Capillary Viscometer, model Ubbelohde ASTM size 3, with a viscosity measurement range of 200 to 1000cSt. The instrument is based on the principle of liquid flow in capillary tubing and is used to accurately determine the kinematic viscosity of liquids.

Principle
At a certain temperature, when the liquid flows in an upright capillary tubing in a state of complete wetting of the tube wall, its kinematic viscosity is proportional to the flow time. When measuring, the time to flow out of the Capillary Viscometer is measured with a standard liquid with known kinematic viscosity, and then the time to flow out of the sample from the same Viscometer is measured. The viscosity of the sample is calculated.

Steps
1. Prepare a standard liquid with known kinematic viscosity
2. Time measurement of standard liquid from Capillary Viscometer
3. Prepare the sample to be tested
4. Time measurement of specimen outflow from the same Capillary Viscometer
5. Calculate the viscosity of the sample according to the outflow time of the standard liquid and the sample
