Overview
Fungilab CV003-012 Capillary Viscometer is a precision measuring instrument based on the Ubbelohde Viscometer principle, model Ubbelohde ASTM size 3B, viscosity measurement range is 1000~ 5000cSt. It accurately calculates kinematic viscosity by measuring the flow time of liquids in capillary tubing, and is widely used in many industrial fields and scientific research institutions.

Principle
At a certain temperature, when the liquid flows in an upright capillary tubing in a state of complete wetting of the tube wall, its kinematic viscosity is proportional to the flow time. When measuring, the time to flow out of the Capillary Viscometer is first measured with a standard liquid with known kinematic viscosity, and then the time to flow out of the sample from the same Viscometer is measured. The viscosity of the sample can be obtained by calculation.

Steps
1. Prepare a standard liquid with known kinematic viscosity
2. Inject the standard liquid into the Capillary Viscometer and measure its outflow time
3. Washing and drying Viscometers
4. Inject the sample into the same Viscometer and measure its outflow time
5. Calculate the viscosity of the sample according to the outflow time of the standard liquid and the sample

• Make sure the liquid completely wetting the capillary wall
• Viscometer and liquid thermostatic to specified temperature before measurement
• Avoid introducing bubbles during operation
• Viscometer thoroughly cleaned after each measurement
• Standard liquid calibrated to ensure accuracy
