Overview
The Fungilab CV003-014 Capillary Viscometer is a precision measuring instrument based on the Ubbelohde Viscometer principle. It uses the Ubbelohde ASTM size 4C specification for the determination of liquids in the viscosity range of 6000 to 30000cSt. The instrument calculates kinematic viscosity by measuring the flow time of liquids in capillary tubing and is widely used in many industrial fields and scientific research institutions.

Principle
At a certain temperature, when the liquid flows in an upright capillary tubing in a state of complete wetting of the tube wall, its kinematic viscosity is proportional to the flow time. During the measurement, the time to flow out of the Capillary Viscometer is measured with a standard liquid with known kinematic viscosity, and then the time to flow out of the sample from the same Viscometer is measured. The viscosity value of the sample is calculated.

Steps
1. Use a standard liquid of known kinematic viscosity to measure its outflow time in the Capillary Viscometer
2. Inject the sample to be tested into the same Capillary Viscometer
3. Measurement of sample outflow time from Viscometer
4. Calculate the kinematic viscosity of the sample according to the outflow time of the standard liquid and the sample
