Fungilab CV003-015 is a Capillary Viscometer model Ubbelohde ASTM size 4B with a viscosity measurement range of 10000 to 50000 cSt. The instrument is designed based on the capillary tubing flow principle and is suitable for a variety of industries.

Principle
At a certain temperature, when the liquid flows in an upright capillary tubing in a state of complete wetting of the tube wall, its kinematic viscosity is proportional to the flow time. When measuring, the time to flow out of the Capillary Viscometer is measured with a standard liquid with known kinematic viscosity, and then the time to flow out of the sample from the same Viscometer is measured. The viscosity of the sample is calculated.

Steps
1. Use a standard liquid of known kinematic viscosity to measure its outflow time in the Capillary Viscometer
2. Add the sample to the same Viscometer and measure its outflow time
3. Calculate the kinematic viscosity of the sample according to the outflow time of the standard liquid and the sample

• Make sure the liquid completely wetting the capillary wall
• Place the instrument and sample at a constant temperature before measurement
• Standard liquid calibrated to ensure accuracy
• Avoid capillary tubing or contamination
