Overview
The Fungilab CV003-016 Capillary Viscometer is a precision instrument for measuring the viscosity of liquids, designed in the Ubbelohde ASTM size 5 specification, with a viscosity measurement range of 20,000 to 100,000 cSt.

Principle
At a certain temperature, when the liquid flows in an upright capillary tubing in a state of complete wetting of the tube wall, its kinematic viscosity is proportional to the flow time. When measuring, use a liquid with known kinematic viscosity as a standard, measure the time it takes to flow out of the Capillary Viscometer, and then measure the time it takes for the sample to flow out of the same Viscometer to calculate the viscosity of the sample.

Steps
1. Use a standard liquid of known kinematic viscosity to measure its outflow time in the Capillary Viscometer
2. Inject the sample to be tested into the same Viscometer and measure its outflow time
3. Calculate the viscosity of the sample according to the outflow time of the standard liquid and the sample
Notice
• Make sure the liquid completely wetting the capillary wall
• The measurement process needs to be carried out at a constant temperature
• Calibrate instruments before use to ensure accuracy
