Overview
The Fungilab CV004-103 Capillary Viscometer is a Cannon-Fenske Opaque viscosity measurement instrument with size 75 and a viscosity measurement range of 1.6 to 8 cSt. It is based on the principle of capillary method and determines the kinematic viscosity of liquids by measuring their flow time in capillary tubing.

Principle
At a certain temperature, when the liquid flows in an upright capillary tubing in a state of complete wetting of the tube wall, its kinematic viscosity is proportional to the flow time. When measuring, first use the liquid with known kinematic viscosity as the standard, measure the time it takes to flow out of the Capillary Viscometer, and then measure the time it takes for the sample to flow out of the same Viscometer, and calculate the viscosity of the sample.
