Overview
Fungilab CV004-110 is a Capillary Viscometer model Cannon-Fenske Opaque size 450 with a viscosity measurement range of 500 to 2500 cSt. It is based on the principle of liquid flow in capillary tubing and is used to accurately determine the kinematic viscosity of liquids.

Principle
At a certain temperature, when the liquid flows in an upright capillary tubing in a state of complete wetting of the tube wall, its kinematic viscosity is proportional to the flow time. When measuring, the time to flow out of the Capillary Viscometer is measured with a standard liquid with known kinematic viscosity, and then the time to flow out of the sample from the same Viscometer is measured. The viscosity of the sample is calculated.

Steps
1. Prepare a standard liquid of known kinematic viscosity.
2. Inject the standard liquid into the Capillary Viscometer and measure its outflow time.
3. Wash and drying Viscometer.
4. Inject the sample into the same Viscometer and measure its outflow time.
5. Calculate the sample viscosity according to the standard liquid and the sample outflow time.
Notice
• Make sure the capillary tubing is completely wet.
• Before measurement, it must be carried out at a constant temperature.
• Clean the Viscometer promptly after use to prevent residue.
• Choose a standard liquid with the appropriate viscosity range to calibrate.
