Overview
The Fungilab CV004-111 Capillary Viscometer uses the Cannon-Fenske Opaque size 500 specification and has a viscosity measurement range of 1600 to 8000cSt. The instrument calculates viscosity by measurement of standard liquid and specimen outflow time based on the principle that liquid flow time in capillary tubing is proportional to kinematic viscosity.
Features
1. Designed with Cannon-Fenske Opaque specifications
2. Wide viscosity measurement range covering 1600~ 8000cSt
3. Based on mature capillary tubing viscosity measurement principle
4. Suitable for a variety of industries and application scenarios
Principle
At a certain temperature, when the liquid flows in an upright capillary tubing in a state of complete wetting of the tube wall, its kinematic viscosity is proportional to the flow time. When measuring, use the liquid with known kinematic viscosity as the standard, measure the time it takes to flow out of the Capillary Viscometer, and then measure the time it takes for the sample to flow out of the same Viscometer, and calculate the viscosity of the sample.
Applications
Petroleum, chemical industry, light industry, electromechanical, national defense, transportation, coal, metallurgy, food, paper, Spinning & weaving, scientific research, institutions of higher learning
Steps
1. Prepare a standard liquid with known kinematic viscosity
2. Time measurement of standard liquid from Capillary Viscometer
3. Prepare the sample to be tested
4. Time measurement of specimen outflow from the same Capillary Viscometer
5. Measurement time based on the sample viscosity
