Overview
Fungilab CV004-201 is a Capillary Viscometer, model Cannon-Fenske Routine size 25, for the measurement of the kinematic viscosity of liquids in the range of 0.5 to 2 cSt.

Principle
At a certain temperature, the kinematic viscosity of the liquid is proportional to the flow time when it flows in an upright capillary tubing in a state of complete wetting of the tube wall. When measuring, the flow time of the standard liquid with known kinematic viscosity is first measured, and then the time of the sample flowing out from the same Viscometer is measured to calculate the viscosity of the sample.

Steps
1. Use a standard liquid of known kinematic viscosity and measure its outflow time in the Capillary Viscometer.
2. Inject the sample into the same Viscometer and measure its outflow time.
3. Calculate the kinematic viscosity of the sample according to the outflow time of the standard liquid and the sample.
Notice
• Ensure that the liquid completely wetts the tube wall in capillary tubing.
• The measurement process needs to be carried out at constant temperature.
• Verify that the Viscometer model matches the viscosity range before use.
