Overview
Fungilab CV004-202 is a Capillary Viscometer, model Cannon-Fenske Routine size 50, designed for the measurement of kinematic viscosity of liquids, with a viscosity range of 0.8 to 4cSt.
Features
1. Using Cannon-Fenske Routine design, suitable for conventional viscosity measurement.
2. The viscosity measurement range covers 0.8~ 4cSt, meeting a variety of liquid testing requirements.
3. Measurement accuracy and Reliability based on capillary tubing principle.
Principle
At a certain temperature, the kinematic viscosity of the liquid is proportional to the flow time when it flows in an upright capillary tubing in a state of complete wetting of the tube wall. The viscosity of the sample is calculated by measuring the outflow time of the sample from the same Viscometer using a standard liquid with known kinematic viscosity.
Applications
Petroleum, chemical industry, light industry, electromechanical, national defense, transportation, coal, metallurgy, food, paper, Spinning & weaving, scientific research, institutions of higher learning
Steps
1. Prepare a standard liquid of known kinematic viscosity.
2. Inject the standard liquid into the Capillary Viscometer and measure its outflow time.
3. After cleaning the Viscometer, inject the sample liquid.
4. Measurement of sample outflow time from the same Viscometer.
5. Calculate the sample viscosity according to the standard liquid and the sample outflow time.
Notice
• Make sure the liquid completely wetting the capillary wall to avoid measurement errors.
• Viscometer and liquid thermostatic to specified temperature before measurement.
• Clean the Viscometer immediately after use to prevent residues from affecting the next measurement.
• Select the appropriate Viscometer model to match the liquid viscosity range.
