Overview
The Fungilab CV004-203 Capillary Viscometer is a Cannon-Fenske Routine viscosity measurement instrument with size 75 and a viscosity measurement range of 1.6 to 8 cSt. It is designed based on the capillary tubing flow principle and is suitable for accurate determination of the kinematic viscosity of liquids.
Features
1. Adopt Cannon-Fenske Routine design to ensure measurement accuracy.
2. The viscosity measurement range covers 1.6~ 8cSt, suitable for a variety of liquids.
3. Simple structure, convenient operation, suitable for laboratory and industrial environment.
Principle
At a certain temperature, the kinematic viscosity of the liquid is proportional to the flow time when it flows in an upright capillary tubing in a state of complete wetting of the tube wall. The viscosity of the sample is calculated by measuring the outflow time of the sample from the same Viscometer using a standard liquid with known kinematic viscosity.
Applications
Petroleum, chemical industry, light industry, electromechanical, national defense, transportation, coal, metallurgy, food, paper, Spinning & weaving, scientific research, institutions of higher learning
Steps
1. Prepare a standard liquid of known kinematic viscosity.
2. Fill the standard liquid into the Capillary Viscometer and measure its outflow time.
3. After cleaning the Viscometer, load the sample to be tested.
4. The measurement time of the sample flowing from the Viscometer.
5. Calculate the sample viscosity according to the standard liquid and the sample outflow time.
Notice
• Make sure the capillary tubing is completely wet.
• Viscometer should be cleaned before measurement to avoid contamination.
Maintain a constant temperature during operation to ensure accuracy.
• Use the appropriate standard liquid to calibrate.
