Overview
The Fungilab CV004-208 Capillary Viscometer is a viscosity measurement instrument based on the Cannon-Fenske Routine design, model 350, suitable for the determination of liquids in the viscosity range of 100 to 500 cSt.
Features
1. Adopt Cannon-Fenske Routine design to ensure measurement accuracy
2. Wide viscosity measurement range covering 100~ 500cSt
3. Suitable for a variety of liquid types, easy to operate
Principle
At a certain temperature, when the liquid flows in an upright capillary tubing in a state of complete wetting of the tube wall, its kinematic viscosity is proportional to the flow time. When measuring, use a liquid with known kinematic viscosity as a standard, measure the time it takes to flow out of the Capillary Viscometer, and then measure the time it takes for the sample to flow out of the same Viscometer to calculate the viscosity of the sample.
Applications
Petroleum, chemical industry, light industry, electromechanical, national defense, transportation, coal, metallurgy, food, paper, Spinning & weaving, scientific research, institutions of higher learning
Steps
1. Use a standard liquid with known kinematic viscosity to calibrate Viscometer and measure its outflow time
2. Inject the sample to be tested into the same Viscometer
3. Measurement of sample outflow time from Viscometer
4. Calculate the viscosity of the sample according to the outflow time of the standard liquid and the sample
Notice
• Ensure that the liquid completely wetting the wall in capillary tubing
• The measurement process needs to be carried out at a constant temperature
• Standard liquid should be calibrated before use
• Avoid Viscometer Contamination or Damage
