Overview
Fungilab CV004-210 is a Capillary Viscometer model Cannon-Fenske Routine size 450 with a viscosity measurement range of 500 to 2500 cSt. The instrument is designed based on the principle of liquid flow in capillary tubing and is used to accurately determine the kinematic viscosity of liquids.
Features
1. Adopt Cannon-Fenske Routine design to ensure Measurement accuracy and Repeatability.
2. Covering a wide viscosity range of 500 to 2500 cSt, suitable for a variety of liquid samples.
3. Simple structure, convenient operation, suitable for daily use in the laboratory.
4. Widely compatible with different industry standards, providing reliable viscosity data.
Principle
At a certain temperature, when the liquid flows in an upright capillary tubing in a state of complete wetting of the tube wall, its kinematic viscosity is proportional to the flow time. When measuring, the time to flow out of the Capillary Viscometer is measured with a standard liquid with known kinematic viscosity, and then the time to flow out of the sample from the same Viscometer is measured. The viscosity of the sample is calculated.
Applications
Petroleum, chemical industry, light industry, electromechanical, national defense, transportation, coal, metallurgy, food, paper, Spinning & weaving, scientific research, institutions of higher learning
Steps
1. Prepare standard liquids with known kinematic viscosity and samples to be tested.
2. Fill the standard liquid into the Capillary Viscometer and measure its outflow time.
3. After cleaning the Viscometer, load the sample to be tested and measure its outflow time.
4. Calculate the kinematic viscosity of the sample according to the outflow time of the standard liquid and the sample.
Notice
• Ensure that the capillary tubing is completely clean to avoid residues affecting the Measurement accuracy.
• Maintain a constant temperature during measurement to eliminate the effect of temperature on viscosity.
• Use standard liquids for calibrating to ensure instrument accuracy.
• Avoid violent shaking during operation to prevent damage to capillary tubing.
• Only for liquid samples that completely wet the wall.
