Overview
Fungilab CV004-211 is a Capillary Viscometer, model Cannon-Fenske Routine size 500, with a viscosity measurement range of 1600 to 8000 cSt. It is based on the principle of liquid flow in capillary tubing for viscosity determination and is widely used in many industrial and research fields.
Features
1. Using Cannon-Fenske Routine design, suitable for conventional viscosity measurement.
2. Wide viscosity measurement range, covering 1600 to 8000 cSt.
3. Ensure measurement accuracy based on standard Capillary Viscometer principle.
4. Suitable for a variety of liquid samples, easy to operate.
Principle
At a certain temperature, when the liquid flows in an upright capillary tubing in a state of complete wetting of the tube wall, its kinematic viscosity is proportional to the flow time. When measuring, the time to flow out of the Capillary Viscometer is measured with a standard liquid with known kinematic viscosity, and then the time to flow out of the sample from the same Viscometer is measured. The viscosity of the sample is calculated.
Applications
Petroleum, chemical industry, light industry, electromechanical, national defense, transportation, coal, metallurgy, food, paper, Spinning & weaving, scientific research, institutions of higher learning
Steps
1. Prepare a standard liquid of known kinematic viscosity.
2. Fill the standard liquid into the Capillary Viscometer and measure its outflow time.
3. Wash and drying Viscometer.
4. Load the sample into the same Viscometer and measure its outflow time.
5. Calculate the sample viscosity according to the standard liquid and the sample outflow time.
Notice
• Make sure the capillary tubing is completely wet.
• Before measurement, it must be carried out at a constant temperature.
• Clean the Viscometer promptly after use to prevent residue.
• Select the appropriate Viscometer model to match the sample viscosity range.
