Overview
The Fungilab CV006-105 Capillary Viscometer is a U-tube viscosity measurement instrument that uses the capillary method principle to determine the kinematic viscosity of liquids. This model is U-Tube Type BS/U size E specification and is suitable for liquid viscosity measurement in the range of 60 to 300cSt.

Principle
At a certain temperature, when the liquid flows in an upright capillary tubing in a state of complete wetting of the tube wall, its kinematic viscosity is proportional to the flow time. When measuring, use the liquid with known kinematic viscosity as the standard, measure the time it flows out of the Capillary Viscometer, and then measure the time it takes for the sample to flow out of the same Viscometer, and calculate the viscosity value of the sample.

Steps
1. Use a standard liquid with known kinematic viscosity to calibrate and measure its outflow time
2. Load the sample to be tested into the same Viscometer
3. Sample measurement time from Capillary Viscometer
4. Calculate the viscosity of the sample according to the outflow time of the standard liquid and the sample

• Make sure the liquid completely wetting the capillary wall
• The measurement process needs to be carried out at a constant temperature
• Standard liquid should be calibrated before use
• Select the appropriate Viscometer specification to match the specimen viscosity range
