Overview
Fungilab CV006-106 is a Capillary Viscometer, model U-Tube Type BS/U size F, designed for the measurement of kinematic viscosity of liquids with a viscosity measurement range of 200 to 1000 cSt.

Principle
At a certain temperature, the kinematic viscosity of the liquid is proportional to the flow time when it flows in an upright capillary tubing in a state of complete wetting of the tube wall. The viscosity of the sample is calculated by measuring the outflow time of the sample from the same Viscometer using a standard liquid with known kinematic viscosity.

Steps
1. Use a standard liquid of known kinematic viscosity and measure its time from the Capillary Viscometer.
2. The measurement time of the sample flowing from the same Viscometer.
3. Calculate the kinematic viscosity of the sample according to the outflow time of the standard liquid and the sample.
Notice
• Ensure that the liquid completely wetts the tube wall in capillary tubing.
• The temperature needs to be kept constant during measurement.
• Make sure the Viscometer is clean and free of contamination before use.
