Overview
Fungilab CV006-002 Capillary Viscometer is a precision measuring instrument based on U-tube counterflow design for measuring the kinematic viscosity of liquids. The model is U-Tube Reverse Flow BS/IP/RF size 2 and the viscosity measurement range is 2~ 10cSt.

Principle
At a certain temperature, when the liquid flows in an upright capillary tubing in a state of complete wetting of the tube wall, its kinematic viscosity is proportional to the flow time. When measuring, the time to flow out of the Capillary Viscometer is measured with a standard liquid with known kinematic viscosity, and then the time to flow out of the sample from the same Viscometer is measured. The viscosity of the sample is calculated.

Steps
1. Prepare a standard liquid with known kinematic viscosity
2. Inject the standard liquid into the Capillary Viscometer and measure its outflow time
3. Washing and drying Viscometers
4. Inject the sample into the same Viscometer and measure its outflow time
5. Calculate the viscosity of the sample according to the outflow time of the standard liquid and the sample

• Ensure that the capillary tubing is completely clean and drying to avoid residues affecting the Measurement accuracy
Measuring temperature to reduce errors
• Use the appropriate standard liquid to calibrate
• Avoid bubbles entering capillary tubing during operation
• Regularly check Viscometer status to ensure no damage
