Overview
Fungilab CV006-003 is a Capillary Viscometer model U-Tube Reverse Flow BS/IP/RF size 3 with a viscosity measurement range of 6 to 30 cSt. It is based on the principle of liquid flow in capillary tubing and calculates kinematic viscosity by measuring outflow time.

Principle
At a certain temperature, when the liquid flows in an upright capillary tubing in a state of complete wetting of the tube wall, its kinematic viscosity is proportional to the flow time. When measuring, the time to flow out of the Capillary Viscometer is measured with a standard liquid with known kinematic viscosity, and then the time to flow out of the sample from the same Viscometer is measured. The viscosity of the sample is calculated.

Steps
1. Prepare a standard liquid of known kinematic viscosity.
2. Fill the standard liquid into the Capillary Viscometer and measure its outflow time.
3. Load the sample into the same Viscometer and measure its outflow time.
4. Calculate the viscosity of the sample according to the standard liquid and the outflow time of the sample.
Notice
• Make sure the liquid completely wetting the capillary wall.
Maintain constant temperature during measurement.
• Check that the Viscometer is clean and free of contamination before use.
