Fungilab CV006-008 is a Capillary Viscometer with U-tube countercurrent design, BS/IP/RF compliant, size 8 for measurement of liquid kinematic viscosity in the range 2000 to 10000cSt.

Principle
At a certain temperature, when the liquid flows in an upright capillary tubing in a state of complete wetting of the tube wall, its kinematic viscosity is proportional to the flow time. When measuring, use a liquid with known kinematic viscosity as a standard, measure the time it takes to flow out of the Capillary Viscometer, and then measure the time it takes for the sample to flow out of the same Viscometer, and calculate the viscosity of the sample.

Steps
1. Use a standard liquid of known kinematic viscosity to calibrate and measure its time from capillary tubing
2. Load the sample to be tested into the same Viscometer
3. measurement of time from capillary tubing
4. Calculate the viscosity of the sample according to the outflow time of the standard liquid and the sample
Notice
• Make sure the liquid completely wetting the capillary wall
• The measurement process needs to be carried out at a constant temperature
• Use a standard liquid calibrating instrument before use
• Different viscosity ranges should use the corresponding type of Viscometer
