Overview
The 721N visible spectrophotometer is an analytical instrument of the SHANGFEN brand. It uses microprocessor technology to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of substances in the visible Light spectrum region. It is a multi-purpose analytical instrument necessary for conventional laboratories.

Principle
The instrument works based on the principle of selective absorption of visible light by substances. After the composite light emitted by the light source is split by the monochromator, it becomes monochromatic light of a specific wavelength. When the monochromatic light passes through the sample solution under test, a part of it is absorbed. The instrument uses the Detector to measure the intensity of the transmitted light, and converts the optical signal into an electrical signal according to the Lambert-Beer's law, which is processed by the microprocessor system, and finally calculates the light transmitance (T) or Absorbance (A) of the sample, so as to realize qualitative or quantitative analysis.

Steps
1. Turn it on and warm up.
2. Set the required analysis wavelength.
3. Put the reference solution (such as a blank solution) into the light path, close the sample chamber cover, and press the automatic 100% (T) key to adjust the full degree.
4. Open the sample chamber cover (or use the automatic light door technology) and press the automatic 0% (T) key to zero.
5. Put the sample to be tested into the light path, close the sample chamber cover, and read the measurement data (light transmitance T or Absorbance A).
6. If you need direct concentration reading, you need to set the concentration factor or make a standard Linear dispersion first.
Notice
• The instrument should be placed on a stable workbench to avoid vibration and direct exposure to strong light.
• It needs to be preheated for a certain period of time after startup, and then the measurement is carried out after the instrument is stable.
• The transparent surface of the Colorimetric dish should be kept clean and should not be touched directly by hand. The position should be accurate when placing the Colorimetric dish holder.
• During measurement, the sample chamber cover should be closed to prevent stray light from entering.
• When replacing the light source tungsten halogen lamp, pay attention to the model matching and avoid direct hand contact with the bulb Glass shell.
• After the instrument is used, the power should be turned off and cleaned properly.
• When not in use for a long time, it should be powered on regularly.
