The instrument conforms to the magnetic method testing principle stipulated by ISO 2178, GB/T 4956, ASTM B499 and other standards. It has the characteristics of stability, accurate measurement and powerful functions. It is widely used in the surface engineering testing fields such as manufacturing, metal processing, and chemical industries. It is the basic equipment of the coating surface preparation industry.

Principle
The instrument fully complies with the magnetic method test principle stipulated in ISO 2178, GB/T 4956, ASTM B499 and other standards. Magnetic flux changes between magnetic metal substrates and nonmagnetic coatings are measured to nondestructive and rapid determination of Coating thickness.

Steps
1. According to the measurement requirements, choose the appropriate calibration method (single point calibrated or multi-point calibrated) to calibrate the instrument.
2. Place the Probe vertically on the surface of the sample to be tested.
3. Press the one-button test button for measurement.
4. Read the measurement results on the display screen.
Notice
* Before measurement, select the appropriate calibration method according to the substrate material and coating type for accurate calibration.
* Probe should be placed vertically on the surface of the sample to be tested during measurement.
The minimum size of the tested area should be no less than 10 x 10mm.
* The minimum thickness of the magnetic substrate should not be less than 0.2mm.
* When measuring the curved surface, the minimum radius of curvature of the convex surface is 5mm, and the minimum radius of curvature of the concave surface is 10mm.
* Ambient Temperature 0~ 40 ℃, relative humidity 10~ 90% without condensation.
* Please use 2 AA alkaline batteries (AA alkaline batteries or nickel-metal hydride rechargeable batteries) for power supply, pay attention to the low battery alarm.
Storage temperature is -10 to 50 degrees Celsius.
* Standard Accessories include iron matrix, wristband and calibrated test piece. Optional accessories are calibrated test pieces of specific thickness.
