Overview
The YT4200-P5 integrated aluminum-based Coating thickness gauge is a China Coating thickness gauge manufactured by 3nh Company, which can quickly and accurately nondestructive detect various non-conductive Coating thicknesses coated on nonmagnetic metal substrates. The instrument fully complies with the eddy current test principle stipulated by ISO 2360, GB/T 4957, ASTM B1400 and other standards. It has the characteristics of stability, accurate measurement and powerful functions. It is widely used in the surface engineering testing fields such as manufacturing, metal processing, and chemical industries. It is the basic equipment of the coating surface preparation industry.
Features
1. Coating thickness on a variety of nonmagnetic metal substrates (eddy current method) can be quickly and accurately tested.
2. One-handed design, structural design in line with human mechanics.
3. One-click testing, convenient and fast.
4. Two methods of single point calibrating and multi-point calibrating can be used to accurately calibrate the instrument.
5. Low power consumption and power saving, with low power alarm function.
6. With backlit display, buzzer prompt.
7. Probe of high wear resistance, not less than 800,000 measurements.
8. Measurement modes: single point measurement, continuous measurement.
Principle
Based on the eddy current test principle, the thickness of all insulating coatings (such as paints, powder spraying, porcelain coating, etc.) sprayed on nonmagnetic metal substrates (such as aluminum, copper, brass, stainless steel, etc.) is detected by NFe-based Probe.
Applications
Manufacturing, metal processing, chemical industry and other surface engineering testing fields
Standards
ASTM B499、ASTM D1400、ISO 2178、ISO 2360、ISO 2808、GB/T 4956/4957、JB/T 8393
Steps
1. Select the appropriate Measurement mode (single point measurement or continuous measurement) according to the measurement requirements.
2. Single point calibrating or multi-point calibration method can be used to accurately calibrate the instrument.
3. Align the Probe with the surface of the coating to be tested and test it with one button.
4. Read the measurement results on the backlit display.
Notice
• Coating thickness measurement on nonmagnetic metal substrates.
• Make sure the instrument has been calibrated as needed before measurement.
• The minimum measurement surface (10 × 10mm) and the minimum radius of curvature (convex radius 5mm; concave radius 10mm) must be met during measurement.
• Instrument Ambient Temperature is 0~ 40 ℃ (10~ 90% RH without condensation), storage temperature is -10~ 50 ℃.
• Use 2 AA alkaline batteries (AA alkaline batteries or nickel-metal hydride rechargeable batteries), pay attention to the low battery alarm.
• Probe is designed for high wear resistance, but protection is still required when using it.
• Standard Accessories include 1 base (aluminum base), wristband and calibrated test piece. Optional accessories are calibrated test pieces (12μm, 25μm).
