Overview
The KOSON KS-M (14mm) coating adhesion tester is a pull-out Adhesion Tester for the measurement of adhesion of metal, paints, spray, Water proofer, Adhesive, chrome, nickel, concrete and Miscellaneous coatings. The instrument uses a hydraulic system to detach a certain diameter coating on the surface of the tested substrate to measure adhesion, and visually displays the test results in MPa or KN through a multi-function digital display screen, reducing human observation errors.
Features
1. Portable handheld instrument can be used anywhere without external power supply.
2. Large and easy-to-read LCD digital display.
3. Press the button to select the kit size, Measurement unit and storage data, and automatically calculate the result according to the kit size.
4. Portable instrument box with alloy and stainless steel main body, rainproof, dustproof and impact-proof.
5, high quality hydraulic pump can be applied to any occasion, quality assurance for three years.
6, Pressure and display system are standard Force Gauge calibrated, accuracy control within +/- 1% (full scale).
7. Self-positioning kit has no effect on measurement results on smooth and rough surfaces.
8. High-grade industrial pressure sensors ensure High Accuracy.
9. Optional 10mm, 14mm, 20mm and 50mm kits.
10. LCD liquid crystal display, you can press the button to select MPa or KN units.
Principle
The working principle of this instrument is to use the built-in hydraulic system to manually press the kit of a specific diameter (such as 14mm) adhered to the surface of the tested substrate to apply a vertical pulling force to the coating until the coating is disengaged. During this process, the built-in pressure sensor of the instrument monitors the force value in real time, and the processing system automatically calculates it according to the selected kit size. Finally, the adhesion value of the coating is directly displayed on the digital display screen in MPa or KN.
Applications
Metallic coatings, paints coatings, spray coatings, Water proofer, Adhesive, chrome coating, nickel coating, concrete coating adhesion test
Standards
ISO 4624 "Paints and varnishes-Pull-offtest for adhesion", ASTM D 4541 "StandardTest Method for Pull-Off Strength of Coatings Using Portable Adhesion Testers", ASTM D7234 "Standard Test Method for Pull-OffAdhesion Strength of Coatings on Concrete Using Portable Pull-OffAdhesion Testers", GB/T 5210-2006 "Paints and varnish adhesion test", TB-T2965-2011 "Railway concrete bridge deck waterproof layer technical conditions", ISO 4624/16276-1
Steps
Select the appropriate kit (e.g. 14mm) according to the test requirements and install it on the instrument.
2. Use special Adhesive to firmly bond the kit to the surface of the coating to be tested.
3. After Adhesive is completely cured, connect the instrument body to the kit.
4. Turn on the power supply of the instrument and select the corresponding kit size and the required force value unit (MPa or KN) by pressing the button.
5. Manually operate the hydraulic pump for uniform and smooth pressure until the coating is pulled off.
6, the instrument display will automatically display and store peak adhesion data.
7. After the test is completed, the instrument can be automatically shut down.
Notice
Please ensure that the instrument is fully charged before use.
* When bonding the kit, it is necessary to ensure that the contact surface between the coating and the kit is clean and flat. Adhesive application is uniform and completely cured.
* The manual pressurization process should be maintained at a uniform speed and smoothly to avoid Impact loads.
When testing, ensure that the direction of the pulling force is perpendicular to the coating surface.
The instrument should be stored in a rainproof, dustproof, and impact-proof instrument box.
* Periodically calibrate instruments to ensure Measurement accuracy.
Do not exceed the maximum pressure of the instrument (64.99 MPa).
* Different sizes of kits are suitable for different thicknesses and types of coatings, please choose according to the actual situation.
