Overview
HUITAO CSI-S165 JIS Japanese Standard Friction Color fastness tester is a testing machine based on the Friction tester II (learning vibration shape) specified in the Japanese industrial standard JIS L 0849. The instrument is mainly used for the friction resistance colour fastness evaluation of dyed fiber products, and can also be used for the flocking strength of flocked fabrics, the friction decolorization of artificial leather, and the friction resistance and abrasion test of Cardboard, Printing ink, paint, etc. It is a friction resistance test equipment suitable for a variety of materials.
Features
1. Compliant with JIS standards: designed in strict accordance with the Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) Friction tester II specifications.
2. Multifunctional application: not only for Spinning & weaving products colour fastness test, but also for flocking strength, artificial leather decolorization, Cardboard wear resistance and other tests.
3. Multi-sample testing: Six samples can be tested simultaneously to improve efficiency.
4. Adjustable parameters: The reciprocating speed of the friction head can be adjusted within the range of 30 to 60 reciprocating/min to meet different test requirements.
5. Curved surface design: Both the sample stage and the friction head are designed with curved surfaces to ensure that the test contact surface meets the standards.
Principle
The instrument is tested by simulating the friction action of the material in actual use. In the friction colour fastness test, the sample is fixed on the curved surface of the sample table, and the specified size of the white cotton cloth (dry or wet) is installed on the front end of the friction head. Under a load of about 2N, the friction head reciprocates within 120mm Travel at a set speed (such as 30 reciprocations per minute) (such as 100 times). After the test, the colour fastness grade is assessed by comparing the degree of staining of the white cotton cloth with the grey sample card. For the organic solvent friction colour fastness test, the principle is similar, but the friction is carried out using a cotton cloth stained with organic solvents to simulate the cleaning process. In the Cardboard wear test, friction is performed at a pressure of 500g.
Applications
Dyed Fiber Products, Flocking Fabrics, Artificial Leather, Cardboard, Printing ink, Paint
Standards
JIS L0849(Ⅱ)、JIS L0862(Ⅰ)、JIS L1084、JIS P8136
Steps
1. Prepare the specimen: Cut the specimen to a size of approximately 220mm x 30mm and install it on the specimen bench.
2. Prepare friction cloth: Cut the friction white cotton cloth to a size of about 50mm x 50mm.
3. Install the friction cloth: Install the white cotton cloth (dry, wet or stained with organic solvents) to the front end of the friction head.
4. Set parameters: set the load (about 2N), reciprocating distance (120mm), speed (such as 30 reciprocating/min) and number of reciprocating (such as 100 times) according to the test standard (such as JIS L0849).
5. Start the test: Start the instrument, and the friction head performs reciprocating friction motion according to the setting.
6. Evaluation results: After the test is completed, remove the friction cloth and compare it with the gray sample card for evaluation of staining to evaluate the staining grade.
Notice
Before testing, make sure that the specimen and friction cloth are cut to the required dimensions and installed correctly.
* Select the appropriate load, friction cloth condition (dry/wet/solvent) and test parameters according to different test standards (such as colour fastness, organic solvent friction, Cardboard wear resistance).
During the operation of the instrument, do not touch moving parts.
Test accuracy by regularly cleaning and maintaining instruments.
* When evaluating the results, it should be compared with the gray sample card by trained personnel under Standard light source or natural light.
