Overview
UL1581 Wire and cable combustion tester (model YK3261) is a YOUKE brand equipment specially designed to test the flame retardant performance of Wire and cable insulation layers. The tester is designed according to the VW-1 and FT2 combustion test terms in the UL1581-2006 standard, and consists of a test part and a control part. Principle
The tester applies standard flame to Wire and cable samples through combustion blowtorch to simulate abnormal states such as overheating and overcurrent to test the flame retardant performance of the insulating layer. Control system automatically ignites and adjusts temperature, uses Thermal Sensor and Thermocouple to monitor temperature, Timer accurately records time to ensure that the test process meets the standard requirements.

Steps
Prepare methane gas with a purity of at least 98%.
2. Set test parameters, such as temperature and time.
3. Install the specimen on a horizontal or vertical bracket.
4. Activate the automatic ignition and temperature calibration functions.
5. Observe the test process and record the data.
6. After the test, use the fan to exhaust.
Notice
• Make sure the box is sealed and there is no air circulation during the test.
• Use methane gas with a purity of at least 98%, provided by the customer.
Operators should observe through the observation door to avoid direct contact with the gas.
