Overview
The Defelsko PRBSPGS-B is a surface measurement Probe for the Defelsko Positector SPG S1, SPG1, SPG3-E and SPGS3 models. The Probe features a split design with a Measurement range of 0 to 500μm (0 to 20mils), accuracy of +/- (5μm + 5%) or +/- (0.2mil + 5%), stylus end angle of 60 degrees, stylus end radius of 50μm (2mils).
Features
1. Split Probe design for easy installation and maintenance; 2. Measurement range, covering 0~ 500μm (0~ 20mils); 3. High Accuracy measurement, accuracy of +/- (5μm + 5%) or +/- (0.2mil + 5%); 4. Stylus end angle of 60 degrees, suitable for a variety of surface measurement; 5. Stylus end radius of 50μm (2mils), providing accurate contact.
Principle
The Probe makes physical measurements by contacting the surface at an angle of 60 degrees and a radius of 50 μm with the stylus end. The split design allows the Probe to be separated from the host, converting the surface profile into an electrical signal through a precise mechanical structure, which is processed by the host and displays the measurement results, ensuring accurate measurements in the range of 0 to 500 μm.
Applications
Surface roughness measurement, Coating thickness testing, industrial quality control
Steps
1. Connect the Probe to the applicable Defelsko Positector host; 2. Ensure that the stylus end is clean and not damaged; 3. Contact the stylus end at a 60 degree angle to the surface to be tested; 4. Start the host for measurement; 5. Read and record the measurement results.
Notice
• Check whether the stylus end is in good condition before use to avoid damage; • Ensure that the measurement surface is clean and no impurities affect the accuracy; • Connect and use the Probe correctly according to the host Operation Manual; • Avoid using it in an environment beyond the Measurement range; • Regularly calibrate the Probe to maintain measurement accuracy.
