Principle
The CHNSPEC G60 SE glossmeter works based on the principle of specular reflection of light. The instrument projects rays of light onto the surface of the object under test at an incident angle of 60 ° and receives reflected light at the same angle. The Glossiness Value (GU) of the surface of the object under test is calculated by measuring the intensity of the reflected light and comparing it with the intensity of the reflected light of a standard plate (known Glossiness value).

Steps
1. Turn it on and ensure that the instrument has sufficient power.
2. Align the test caliber at the bottom of the instrument with the calibrated standard plate.
3. Automatic calibration by pressing the measurement button.
4. After the calibrating is completed, align the instrument test caliber and stick it to the surface of the sample to be tested.
5. Press the measurement button to make a measurement, and the measurement result will be displayed on the screen.
6. It can be connected to the computer through a USB data cable for data transmission.
Notice
* Before measurement, make sure that the instrument has been calibrated through the standard plate.
* When measuring, the test diameter should be completely close to the tested surface to avoid light leakage affecting the measurement results.
* Avoid use in strong magnetic fields or strong static environments.
* Ambient Temperature should be between 0-40 ℃, relative humidity should be less than 85% and no condensation.
* Do not expose the instrument to high temperature, high humidity or corrosion environment for a long time.
* When cleaning the instrument, please use a soft dry cloth to wipe and avoid the use of chemical solvents.
* Please keep the calibrated standard board properly to avoid scratching or contamination of its surface.
When not in use for a long time, please charge the instrument regularly to maintain battery activity.
