The Portable methane detector uses the pump-suction Sampling method, and the environment gas is sucked into the detection chamber through the built-in micro-sampling pump. The methane component in the gas has absorption characteristics for specific wavelengths of infrared light. The NDIR (non-dispersion infrared) Sensor inside the instrument calculates the concentration value of methane gas by measuring the change of infrared light Absorption intensity. The measurement results are processed by the High Accuracy amplifier and processor and displayed in real time on the screen.
