Principle
The Opacity Chart tests the covering ability of the Coating by comparing the black and white areas. Spreader the Coating evenly on the cardboard, and measure the reflectance ratio of the black area to the white area after drying. The calculation formula is: hiding ratio (%) = Y black/Y white × 100%. Hiding ratio 100% means complete covering.

Steps
1. Spreader paints and other Coatings evenly on the paints Opacity Chart according to the film steps
2. After the film is fully dried by air, use the instrument for objective evaluation
3. The hiding power value can be measured within 1 second and automatically displayed

• Use the correct lame plating method to ensure that the film thickness is appropriate, flat and uniform
• Spray booth space should be suitable, Illumination conditions should be good
• Mix the paints effectively
