Overview
The LINSHANG LS197 glossmeter is a multi-angle Gloss measuring instrument that provides three measurement Angles of 20 °, 60 ° and 85 ° to adapt to samples of different Gloss ranges. Its Measurement range is wide, with a 20 ° angle of 0~ 2000GU, a 60 ° angle of 0~ 1000GU, and an 85 ° angle of 0~ 160GU. The instrument adopts an engineering plastic body, is equipped with a rechargeable lithium battery and a USB Type-C charging interface, supports Chinese and English systems, and is suitable for accurate Glossiness measurement in various environments.

Principle
The LINSHANG LS197 glossmeter works on the principle of light reflection. The built-in Illuminant emits an incident ray beam at a specific angle to the surface of the sample under test, and the ray of light is reflected on the surface of the sample. The receiver inside the instrument receives and measures the luminous flux of the reflected light. By comparing and calculating the measured reflected luminous flux with the reflected luminous flux of a standard plate (with a known Glossiness value), the Glossiness value of the sample surface is finally obtained and displayed in Gloss unit (GU).

Steps
1. Boot preparation: Long press the power button to turn it on to ensure that the battery is fully charged.
2. Calibrate the instrument: align the instrument measurement port with the standard plate and press the calibrate button to calibrate.
3. Select Angle: According to the Glossiness range of the tested sample, select 20 °, 60 ° or 85 ° Measurement Angles through the menu.
4. Place the sample: place the instrument measurement port vertically and tightly on the surface of the sample to be tested.
5. Start measurement: Press the measurement button, the instrument automatically completes the measurement and displays the Glossiness value.
6. Record data: The measurement data can be viewed through the instrument or exported through the USB interface.
7. Shut down and store: After the measurement is completed, short press the power button to shut down and store the instrument in a suitable environment.
Notice
• Before measurement, it must be calibrated using the standard plate provided with the instrument to ensure measurement accuracy.
• Ensure that the surface of the tested sample is clean, drying, flat, free of oil, dust and other impurities.
• During measurement, the instrument measurement port must be tightly and vertically attached to the sample surface to avoid light leakage.
• Select the appropriate Measurement Angles according to the estimated Glossiness range of the sample (20 ° for high Gloss, 60 ° for medium Gloss, and 85 ° for low Gloss).
• Instruments should avoid long hours of operation in extreme temperatures (below 10 ° C or above 45 ° C) or high Humidity (above 85% RH) environments.
• Please use the original charger to charge the instrument through the USB Type-C interface to avoid using mismatched power supplies.
• When not in use for a long time, please store the instrument in a drying and cool place (-10~ 60 ℃, Humidity 0~ 85% RH without condensation).
• Avoid severe vibration, impact or contact with corrosion chemicals.
• When cleaning the instrument, please use a soft dry cloth to wipe, do not use organic solvents or corrosion cleaners.
