JFL QXD 0-50μm Grindometer is a single-channe Grindometer with a fineness range of 0-50μm. The product is made of cemented carbide steel with high Hardness, good heat resistance, Abrasion Resistance and corrosion resistance, and a long service life. It is mainly used to determine the fineness of particles such as pigments and impurities in Paints and paint slurries, and is equipped with drawdown blades.
1. Made of carbide steel, Hardness, heat resistance, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, long service life. 2. Single-channe design, with a range of 0-50 μm and a Graduation of 5 μm. 3. Comply with relevant national standards.
The Grindometer uses a drawdown blade to scrape through the groove at uniform speed and pressure by placing the sample to be tested at one end of the groove of the scraper. The particles in the sample will produce tailing or accumulation at the depth of the groove. By observing the position of the particles appearing on the groove scale, the corresponding fineness value can be read to evaluate the particle size of the pigment or impurity.

1. Grindometer and drawdown blade clean and drying. 2. Drop the sample to be tested on the deeper end of the scraper groove. 3. Hold the drawdown blade with both hands so that it is perpendicular to the surface of the scraper, and scrape the drawdown blade from the deeper end of the groove to the shallower end at a uniform speed and appropriate pressure. 4. After scraping the sample, immediately (usually within 5 seconds) observe the position where the particles appear evenly in the groove at a suitable angle. 5. Read the scale value corresponding to this position, which is the fineness of the sample.
• Clean the instrument before use to ensure that no residue affects the measurement. • The scraping operation needs to be smooth, uniform speed and moderate pressure. • The sample should be read immediately after scraping to avoid the sample drying affecting the judgment. • After use, the scraper and drawdown blade should be cleaned in time and kept properly. • Do not use hard objects to scratch the measurement surface, so as not to damage the scale. • This instrument is a precision measuring tool and should be handled with care to prevent falling or impact.
