Overview
The XIONGFA XF-11986 Powder Carr Angle of Repose tester is designed and manufactured according to GB11986-89 and ISO 4324-1977 "Determination of Carr Angle of Repose in Surfactant Powders and Granules". It is suitable for the routine determination of Carr Angle of Repose in agglomerate-free powders or granular surfactants and washing powders. The instrument fully meets the requirements of the US Pharmacopoeia, European Pharmacopoeia, ISO 4324 and ISO 8398, and evaluates flowability by measuring the angle between the cone slope and the horizontal plane formed by the accumulation of powders.
Features
1. Comply with international standards such as GB11986-89 and ISO 4324-1977
2. Meet the requirements of the US Pharmacopoeia and the European Pharmacopoeia
3. Suitable for agglomerate-free powder or granular surfactants
4. Structure includes test platform, stainless steel funnel, Stirrer and bracket
5. Measuring methods: injection method, discharge method and tilt method
Principle
The sample is poured into the funnel, stirred if necessary, and the powder flows out to the measurement platform to form a cone. The height of the cone is measured with a height ruler, and the Carr Angle of Repose is calculated according to the formula tan theta = height/radius. Carr Angle of Repose refers to the maximum angle of gravity and friction equilibrating when particles slide on the free slope of the powder accumulation layer in the gravitational field.
Applications
Determination of flowability of surfactants, washing powder and powdery granular materials
Standards
GB11986-89, ISO 4324-1977, American Pharmacopoeia, European Pharmacopoeia, ISO 8398
Steps
1. Take 150ml powder sample for measurement
2. Plug the small hole at the bottom of the funnel with your hands, pour the sample into the funnel and fill the small hole at the lower end
3. Open the funnel hole and let the powder flow out freely until the cup is filled and overflows
4. Vertebral height measurement after standing for 2 minutes
Notice
• The powder needs to fill the entire small hole at the lower end of the funnel
• Let stand for 2 minutes before measurement
• Make sure the surface of the baseplate is polished and the concentric circles are perpendicular to the funnel
• Pay attention to avoid external interference affecting the free flow of powder during operation
