Overview
The PosiTector GLS glossmeter is a Handheld electronic instrument for the measurement of mirror reflectance and Glossiness on a surface. It consists of a body (Standard or Advanced) and a Probe and is suitable for field or workshop use.
Features
1. Simple: Measurement speed is fast, 60 + readings per minute; equipped with 2.8-inch Impact-resistant color Touchscreen and redesigned keyboard; help to explain menu items on the meter; RESET function immediately restores factory settings.
2. Powerful: Statistical mode continuously displays averages, Standard Deviation, etc.; Screenshots save 100 images; HiLo alerts for pass/fail checks; Battery life is extended by 30%; USB port connects to PC; PosiSoft USB drive view reports; Measured value with date timestamp; includes PosiSoft software; network software updates.
3. Durable: all-metal Probe structure; IP65 grade weatherproof, dustproof, waterproof shell; ergonomic design; rugged indoor/outdoor instruments; shock-absorbing protective rubber leather case.
4. Accurate: calibrate certificates traceable to NRC; automatically diagnose and calibrate; store multiple calibrate standards; comply with national and international standards.
5. Versatility: The subject accepts all PosiTector Probes; selectable Glossiness and reflectance percentage units; automatic swirl/spin display; selectable display language.
Principle
The PosiTector GLS glossmeter evaluates Glossiness by measuring the specular reflectance of the surface, using Illuminant and Sensor at specific angles such as 20 °, 60 °, 85 °.
Applications
Gloss measurement, surface mass testing, coating evaluation, industrial manufacturing, quality control
Standards
ASTM C584、ASTM D523、ASTM D4039、ISO 2813、ISO 7668、JIS Z 8741、AS/NZS 1580.602.2
Steps
1. Automatically diagnose and calibrate when powered on.
2. Select Measurement Angles and Units.
3. Probe placed on the surface to be measured for measurement.
4. View real-time data or use statistical models.
5. Measured values or exported data.
Notice
• Operating temperature range is 0~ 45 ℃, no condensation.
• Ensure that calibrated standards are traceable before use.
• Avoid use in extreme environments to maintain accuracy.
Pay attention to batch management when storing data.
