Principle

The pH Electrode senses the activity of hydrogen ions in the sample through its circular Glass-sensitive membrane, generating a potential correlated with the pH value. The internal reference system (silver/silver chloride) provides a stable reference potential, and the annular ceramic liquid junction allows a small amount of internal reference liquid exudation, forming a stable electrochemistry circuit that allows measurement and display of the pH value of the sample through a connected pH Meter.

Steps

1. Connect the Electrode BNC connector to a compatible pH Meter host. 2. Make sure that the Electrode reference solution is fully filled. 3. Use a standard buffer solution to calibrate the pH Meter. 4. Immerse the Electrode in the sample to be tested to ensure that the liquid junction and the sensitive film are completely submerged. Record the pH value after waiting for the reading to stabilize (95% Response in about 30 seconds). 6. Electrode is cleaned with deionized water and stored properly after measurement.
