Overview
BANTE Na-UK Sodium Ion Selective Electrode is a composite Electrode imported from the UK, specially designed for the measurement of sodium ion concentration in aqueous solutions. Measurement range is wide, covering 0.002 to 69000ppm, using solid state Sensor and epoxy resin housing, durable, can be directly immersed in liquid measurement.
Features
1. Imported from the UK, with reliable quality.
2. Composite Electrode design, no additional reference Electrode, easy to operate.
3. Using Solid State Sensor, it can be directly immersed in liquid for measurement.
4. Epoxy resin shell, strong and not easy to break.
5. Measurement range is wide, covering 0.002 to 69000ppm.
Principle
The Electrode operates on the principle of Ion Selective Electrode (ISE). Its sensitive membrane has a specific response to sodium ions. When the Electrode is immersed in the solution to be tested, the membrane potential changes with the change of sodium ion activity (concentration) in the solution. The concentration of sodium ions in the sample can be calculated by measuring this potential and comparing it with a standard solution.
Applications
Water quality analysis, environment monitoring, industrial process control, laboratory research
Steps
1. Connect the Electrode to a compatible ion meter or pH/mV meter via a BNC connector.
2. Use a standard sodium ion solution to calibrate the instrument.
3. Immerse the Electrode in the sample solution to be tested, ensuring that the Sensor is partially submerged.
4. Wait for the reading to stabilize and record or read the sodium ion concentration value displayed by the instrument.
5. After the measurement is completed, clean the Electrode with deionized water and store it properly.
Notice
• Please read the instrument manual carefully before use and calibrate correctly.
• Make sure Electrode Sensitive Membrane is clean to avoid contamination or scratches.
• Electrode should be fully immersed in the solution and avoid bubbles during measurement.
• Electrode should be stored as required when not in use (e.g., soaked in a specific preservation solution or dried).
• Do not use in strong acids, alkalis or corrosion solutions to prevent damage to the Electrode.
• Electrode performance checked regularly and maintenance or replacement if necessary.
