Overview
JZHY-180 mechanical meter/interfacial tension meter is an instrument of HuiNuo brand that uses physical methods to test the surface tension of liquids. It is easy to use and can quickly and accurately measure the surface and interfacial tension values of various liquids. The instrument is widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, scientific research and other departments. It adopts pure mechanical structure, is durable and relatively low cost, and is especially suitable for laboratories and teaching in Universities & colleges.
Features
1. Adopt a purely mechanical structure for durability
2. Relatively low cost, suitable for Universities & colleges laboratories and teaching
3. Easy to use, can quickly and accurately measure the surface and interfacial tension of various liquids
4. Can clearly show the principle and process of testing surface tension by ring method
Principle
JZHY-180 adopts a delicate mechanical structure to apply torsion to the torsion wire by testing the swirl/spin of the worm gear pair, and make the platinum ring in contact with the liquid surface of the torsion force equilibrate the surface tension of the liquid. When the torsion force of the torsion wire continues to increase and the surface of the measured liquid is pulled, the torsion angle of the torsion wire is indicated by the vernier on the dial, and then multiplied by the positive factor to obtain the measured surface tension value and interfacial tension value of the liquid.
Applications
Petroleum, Chemical, Research, Universities & colleges Laboratories
Standards
JB/T9388-2002、ISO1409-1995、SH/T 1156-95
Steps
1. Apply torque to the torsion wire by testing the swirl/spin of the worm gear pair
2. The platinum ring that makes the torque contact with the liquid surface equilibrates the surface tension of the liquid
3. Continue to increase the torque of the torque wire until the surface of the tested liquid is torn
4. Read the twist angle value indicated by the dial upstream
5. Multiply the read value by the positive factor to get the measured surface tension value or interfacial tension value
