Overview
This machine is AISRY brand MIT type folding tester, model ASR-5632, specially used to test the flexural strength of paper and Cardboard. During the test, the two ends of the test piece are fixed, and the lower fixture applies the required load to make the test piece bear a certain tension. When the test piece is vertical, it is bent reciprocally at an angle of about 135 degrees until the test piece is broken and automatically counted.
Features
1. Adopt touch screen operation for easy control.
2. With automatic counting function, the counting range is 0 to 9999 times.
3. A variety of test loads can be applied: 4.91N, 9.81N, 14.72N.
4. The folding speed is stable at 175 +/- 10cpm.
5. Key component parameters are accurate, such as a crease radius of 0.38 +/- 0.02mm.
Principle
The working principle is to fix the two ends of the test piece to the upper and lower fixtures of the instrument. The lower fixture applies a set load to the test piece to make it bear the specified tension. When the test piece is kept vertical, the lower fixture reciprocates and bends to the left and right sides at an angle of 135 degrees, and continues to bend the test piece until the test piece breaks. The instrument automatically records the number of bends.
Applications
Paper and Cardboard Fold Strength Testing
Steps
Prepare a test piece that meets the size requirements (approximately 15mm wide and 250mm long).
2. Fix both ends of the test piece in the upper and lower fixtures of the instrument.
3. Set and apply the required test load (e.g. 4.91N, 9.81N, or 14.72N) via the touchscreen.
4. Start the equipment, and the lower fixture starts to bend the test piece back and forth at a 135-degree angle.
5. The equipment runs automatically until the test piece is broken, and the number of bending times is recorded and displayed.
Notice
• Power supply voltage is AC220V and meets equipment requirements.
• Check whether the size of the test piece meets the requirements (width 15mm) before operation.
• Note that the bending angle is 135 ° +/- 2 ° to ensure test accuracy.
• Do not touch moving parts when the equipment is running.
• Regularly check whether key dimensions such as the crease radius (0.38 +/- 0.02mm) are within the tolerance range.
